Cookies are created when you visit a website in order to preserve your registered login, preferences and other custom functions. Websites will often store cookies on your hard disk to help websites positively identify you whenever you may resume. In certain cases this information may become corrupted, causing problems when trying to use your browser. Clearing the cache and cookies will often eliminate these problems.
Google Chrome
On Windows:
Open a Google Chrome browser and press the CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys at the same time. Ensure to select the option to; 'Clear the following items from the beginning of time'. Also ensure that 'Cached images and files' and 'Cookies and other site data' are checked. Click 'Clear Browsing Data' to begin the cleaning process.
On Mac:
Open a Google Chrome browser and press the COMMAND + SHIFT + DELETE keys at the same time. Ensure to select the option to; 'Clear the following items from the beginning of time'. Also ensure that 'Cached images and files' and 'Cookies and other site data' are checked. Click 'Clear Browsing Data' to begin the cleaning process.
Mozilla Firefox
Windows, Mac
- Open Mozilla Firefox browser.
- Click the menu button and choose Options.
- Select the Privacy panel.
- Click 'clear your recent history'.
- Ensure that 'Cookies' and 'Cache' are selected.
- Click the 'Clear Now' button.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Open an Internet Explorer browser window and press the CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys at the same time. Ensure that both 'Temporary Internet files and website files' and 'Cookies and website data' are checked, then click 'Delete'.
Microsoft Edge
Open a Microsoft Edge browser window and press the CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys at the same time. Ensure that both 'Cookies and saved website data' and 'Cached data and files' are checked, then click 'Clear'.
Apple Safari
Version 9.0.1 (11601.2.7.2)
- Open Safari Browser on your Mac.
- Navigate to Safari > Preferences > Privacy.
- Click 'Remove All Website Data…'
