Learning Role - Notifications

Introduction

This article will describe and demonstrate the feature of Learning Role - Notifications.


Purpose behind Learning Role - Notifications

Using a Learning Role to establish various notifications is an efficient way to bulk-send messages.


To Access Learning Role - Notifications;

  • Ensure the proper Current Team is selected. Menu located lower-left of screen.

  • Navigate to the Roles tab.

  • Click on the Role Group folder on left which contains the Learning Role you wish to access Learning Role - Notifications. This will display it's associated Learning Roles within the adjacent field.


Once this Group's Learning Roles display, hover-over the specific Learning Role you wish to access Notifications for and click 3 dots at right to display it's context menu. Select Role Details.



The Role Details panel will display.


  • Click Notifications header to open section.

  • Start Date Notifications: Specify when you want Start Date notifications to be sent to Learners. 

You have the option of sending up to three different notices at specified intervals.


  • Levels (First Notice, Second Notice, Final Notice) is the order in which notices are sent. 

  • Value: Enter a number in this field to specify how many days, weeks or months in advance of a given Start Date you want reminder notices to be sent. If value is zero or blank, no notices are sent.

  • Type: Using the list, select the interval to be used prior to a Start Date; in days, weeks or months.

  • Notify LMS Admin: Select this option to send the same notices to the LMS Admin staff.

  • Due Date Notifications: Specify when you want Due Date notifications sent to Learners. You can send up to three different notices at specified intervals.

  • Levels (First Notice, Second Notice, Final Notice) are the order in which notices are sent. You can send up to three notices.

  • Value: Enter a number in this field to specify how many days, weeks or months in advance of the Due Date you want notices emailed. If value is zero or blank, no notices are sent.

  • Type: Select the interval to be used prior to the Due Date from the list, using days, weeks or months.

  • Notify LMS Admin: Select this option if you want the same notices sent to LMS Admin staff.

  • Only Notify if any Enrolled LE are Not Completed: Check this box if you only want notices sent for any enrolled Learning Elements which maintain a status of Not Completed.

  • Notification Starting Date: Select a start date for any Notifications. The initial default date is always current date. Events which would normally trigger a notification which occur prior to a selected Start Date do not trigger notifications.

  • Click Update to save changes.
