Establish Team Learning Content, Learning Roles and Portal Access

When using the Accord LMS, hovering over information icons displays helpful tips.


Introduction

This article will briefly describe the feature of Team Learning Content, Learning Roles and Portal Access.


Team Learning Content, Learning Roles and Portal Access features provide LMS Admins the ability to select which Learning Catalog Folders, Learning Roles or various LMS Portals which their LMS Teams will have access to.


Establish Learning Content, Learning Roles and Portal Access

Quickly and efficiently establish access to specific Learning Content, Learning Roles and specific LMS Portals for their selected Teams. 


To establish Learning Content, Learning Roles and/or Portal access for a certain Team;

  • Ensure the proper Current Team is selected. Menu located lower-left of screen.

  • From the main tab menu at left select the Teams tab.

  • Locate the Team you wish to establish Team Content, Learning Role and Portal Access and select to highlight.

  • Click 3 dots at right to open it's context menu

  • Select Team Content, Role and Portal Access from menu.


The Team Content, Role and Portal Access panel will open.


To Establish Team Learning Content

Inherit Parent Team Access: Checking box will automatically grant this Team the same access to the very same Learning Catalog Folders as it's Parent Team.


For a given Team to have access only to specific Learning Catalog Folders, leave box for Inherit Parent Team Access unchecked and check selected boxes next to whichever Available Folders you desire this Team to have access to.



Establish Team Learning Roles

Click Heading to open panel if necessary.


Inherit Parent Team Access: checked box will automatically grant this Team the very same Learning Catalog access afforded through Learning Roles as it's Parent Team.


For a Team to have access only to specifically assigned Learning Roles, un-check box for Inherit Parent Team Access and check selected boxes next to any desired Learning Roles.



Establish Team Portals Access

Click Heading to open Portals panel if necessary.


Inherit Parent Team Access: checking box will automatically grant access to the very same portals as it's Parent Team.


To establish specific portal access for this Team, un-check box for Inherit Parent Team Access and check selected boxes for desired LMS portals.


  • Scroll near bottom and click Update to save any changes.
