Granting or Limiting Administrative Privileges

When using the Accord LMS, hovering over information icons displays helpful tips.

Introduction

This article will briefly describe a method to grant or limit various LMS Administrative privileges for selected personnel.


One effective method to grant or limit various LMS privileges is by using Team LMS Admin Types.


What Are Team LMS Admin Types?

Admin Types function as LMS digital managers.


Specific Admin Types can have a variety of defined LMS permissions or access.  


These permissions or access may include;

Feature Permissions

Learning Catalog Access

Learning Roles Access

LMS Portals Access

Notifications


Team Members can be Assigned Admin Types

After given levels of access or privileges are defined for specific Team LMS Admin Types, these LMS Admin Types can then be assigned to chosen Team members, granting them the same level of access.


Once defined, Admin Types can be edited or deleted by LMS Admins with appropriate Team permissions. 


Customized Admin Types can be created for any Team.


Each respective Team can have numbers of different Admin Types.


No user can be assigned more than (1) Team Admin Type.


The image below is an example of the LMS Admin Type-Details Panel where the various levels of access or feature permissions can be defined or edited.
