Configuration - General Options - Default Settings

When using the Accord LMS, hovering over information icons displays helpful tips.


Introduction

This article will briefly describe how to access Configuration - Default Settings and lists the available settings and features.


Purpose behind the Default Settings

Default Settings is where an LMS Admin can determine how selected Learning Elements and Catalog Folders are processed and handled by the Accord LMS.


Features Available within Default Settings

  • Attempts
  • LE Tracking Options
  • Before Start Date Options
  • After Due Date Options

Access Default Settings

  • After logging-in with LMS Admin credentials, click on the Catalog tab.
  • Ensure the proper Current Team is selected. Menu located lower-left of screen.
  • Expand the Advanced tab and select Configuration.
  • Click on GENERAL OPTIONS.


The General Options panel will display.

Scroll down and click heading for DEFAULT SETTINGS.



Default Settings

Report > Filters > Advanced Options

  • Attempts: Using the associated dropdown menu, select what new Report Filters should have Attempts set-to by default: Best, Last, Last Completed or First Completed.

My Team > Learning Roles > Learning Role Management > Role Details

  • LE Tracking Options: Select to Track All Attempts or Track All Attempts until Completed.

  • Before Start Date Options: Select how Learning Elements will perform by default within a given Learning Role prior to an official start date. 

This will determine whether LE are not allowed to launch, LE will launch but will not track or LE will both launch and track.


  • After Due Date Options: Select how Learning Elements will perform by default within a given Learning Role after a due-date. 

This will determine whether LE are not allowed to launch, LE will launch but will not track or LE will both launch and track.



  • After making any desired changes or updates, scroll near bottom and click Update.

In Conclusion

Default Settings is where an LMS Admin can establish certain settings which will affect how their Accord LMS will handle and process selected Learning Elements and/or Catalog Folders.
