Import Learning Folders

When using the Accord LMS, hovering over information icons displays helpful tips.


Introduction

This article will describe the purpose and process of importing LMS Catalog Learning Folders.

Within the Accord LMS; Learning Folder is synonymous with Catalog Folder. 


Purpose of Learning Folders

A Learning Folder is a type of LMS Catalog Folder.

Purpose of Importing Learning Folders

The Accord LMS provides the ability to easily Import Learning Folders.

This facilitates the quick creation of Learning Folders within your Accord LMS Catalog and saves from having to create numerous Learning Folders from scratch.


What is Needed to Import Learning Folders?

The process begins by setting up any Learning Folders desired to import in a (.csv) file which can then be readily uploaded into your LMS portal.

Important Comments Regarding (.csv) Files Used for Import

The (.csv) file is processed from the top down. 

Parent Folders must either already exist in the system or be listed in the (.csv) file before the Child Folder which references them. 

Any Learning Folders having duplicate names will not import. 

Errors will result if a Learning Folder with the same name already exists within the LMS, or if duplicated within the (.csv) file being imported.

Once you get to the page, under Sample Import Types go to Folders Import.


Process to Import Learning Folders

  • Login with LMS Admin credentials.
  • Ensure the proper Current Team is selected. Menu located lower-left of screen.
  • From the menu on left, expand the Advanced tab and click the Configuration tab.
  • From the Configuration page click on Import Data.


The Legacy Import Data panel will display.*

*Ensure to have any Learning Folders you wish to import during this process preselected and listed on a .csv file.


  • Click heading for Folder Import to open this panel.
  • Next to Select CSV File, click button to select a Folders .csv file from your system.
  • Once the file has uploaded click Import.


After clicking Import a confirmation message will display, telling the number of new Folders which were imported and created within your LMS Catalog Folder hierarchy during this process.


 Any Import failures: Certain conditions as they might relate to any import failures will display directly underneath the confirmation message; potentially helping to isolate and identify reasons for failure. 



When navigating to the LMS Catalog tab, you will see your newly imported Folders displayed within your LMS Catalog Folder hierarchy.
