Accord LMS is in the process of moving all clients from the server in our current hosting facility in Canada to the Central Canada Amazon Web Services Region.
This move requires a small amount of assistance from our clients to reduce downtime and ensure a seamless migration.
Overview of Migration Process
Client Responsibilities for Migration
Step 1: Set a migration date prior to March 31, 2022.
- This migration will require a scheduled downtime.
- Clients should expect that this migration will require one business day during which time the LMS will be unavailable to learners or administrators and/or send any appropriate internal notifications.
- This date must be a business date prior to March 31st.
- PLEASE WORK WITH YOUR SOLUTIONS ENGINEER TO SELECT THE BEST DATE WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME.
Step 2: Prepare DNS
- Prior to migration, clients are required to make several minor changes to their DNS entry. This typically requires intervention by the IT department.
- Please contact Accord LMS support with any questions ASAP so that we can work with your IT team to address any questions.
- Accord LMS Support will provide a .csv file with required CNAME entries.
- The following changes are required:
- Include "amazones.com" (without quotes) in the domain's SPF record.
- Add CNAME entries as directed.
- Notify Accord LMS support when this is completed.
Please note that the final migration date cannot be confirmed until this step is complete.
Step 3: Migration Day
- Accord LMS portal masters will create a complete backup of your LMS site and all other associated files on our current host and then restore these files into the new cloud environment. The duration of this migration procession will be somewhat dependent upon the amount of data stored on our existing server.
- Accord portal masters will validate a successful move and notify you for the purposes of completing the final step.
- Client's IT personnel must remove the following IP addresses from the SPF records:
- 209.15.245.130
- 209.15.240.52
