Introduction
Currently all Lesson content are stored either in the Accord LMS Database or in the DNN File System. Accord will continue to store some lesson content (e.g. URL base Lessons, RTF, etc.) in the database, but files that are historically stored in DNN will be moved into the Amazon Secure Cloud. This change offers new flexibility and Scalability offered by this serverless environment. Contact support@accordlms.com if you have any questions.
Please note: Noggin Guru has increased the frequency with which we release new versions. These new versions will contain fewer enhancements and not every version will include user facing changes. We've made this change to reduce the time necessary to release impactful changes.
COURSE CATALOG
Lesson Types moved to Amazon Secure Cloud storage: File, Certificate.
All New File Types and Certificates will be created in Amazon's Cloud Storage. Any changes or updates to existing File and Certificate Lessons will be moved to the Amazon Cloud when they are saved. Eventually all legacy data will be migrated to the Amazon cloud. This migration has not been scheduled at this time.
Note: There is a brief delay when uploaded data is moved into the cloud. There may be a delay of a few minutes before the new Lesson can be viewed by a learner or previewed by the admin.
General Enhancements
Performance Enhancements
Noggin Guru developers have completed work on performance enhancements to improve day to day performance of the application as our user community has grown. These updates include a service that will make sure all main pages of the application, including the login page, respond and load quickly. Additionally, a design change to the application has reduced server memory utilization reducing or eliminating memory peaks which were causing intermittent, but significant, performance issues.
Continuous Quality Improvement
This release includes several minor interface improvements, improved tool tip language and bug fixes.
